Female PE Teacher – Part-Time (3 Days a Week) – Burton Area

Education Personnel, one of the leading education recruitment agencies across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, are proud to be working on behalf of a thriving 11–18 community secondary school in Burton. We are seeking a female PE Teacher to join the school from September on a part-time basis (three days per week).

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established and highly regarded school that is passionate about academic success, personal development, and physical well-being.

About the school:

  • A welcoming, inclusive community school with a strong sense of pride and high expectations for both staff and students.

  • Serves pupils aged 11 to 18, offering the chance to teach across both KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to sixth form enrichment.

  • Located in Barton, easily accessible from surrounding areas, with excellent facilities and modern resources to support teaching and learning.

  • A vibrant sporting culture, with excellent participation rates across a wide range of sports and a strong reputation for success in local and regional competitions.

  • Supportive leadership and pastoral teams who place staff well-being and professional growth at the centre of their ethos.

The role:

  • Delivering engaging, inspiring and inclusive PE lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.

  • Encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle and promoting participation in sport both in and out of the classroom.

  • Supporting and developing extracurricular activities, teams, and school sporting events.

  • Playing a key role in building student confidence, teamwork and resilience through physical education.

What the school offers staff:

  • A collaborative and supportive environment where teachers feel valued.

  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including access to CPD and trust-wide training.

  • Modern sports facilities and resources that enhance both curriculum and extracurricular provision.

  • The chance to work within a highly motivated PE department that is passionate about raising aspirations through sport.

  • A flexible timetable (three days per week) to support a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements:

  • Ideally hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), although applications from strong unqualified teachers or ECTs will also be considered.

  • Must be a female PE teacher due to the nature of the timetable and changing room supervision.

  • Enthusiastic, active, and committed to engaging young people through sport and physical education.

  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of all abilities.

This is a brilliant chance to join a school where sport is at the heart of student development and where your passion for PE will have a real impact.
