PCB Designer (Contract)Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight Duration: 6 monthsWorking pattern: Full time, on-siteRates: 51.60 PAYE or 69.65 UmbrellaSecurity: BPSS + SC required (UK Eyes Only)Additional: Subject to ITAR OverviewBAE Systems Defence Solutions (Maritime Services) is looking for an experienced PCB Designer to join a small, specialist team delivering complex PCB designs for advanced electronic systems. You will take designs from early concepts through to complete manufacturing data packs, working closely with electronics, mechanical and manufacturing teams.Key responsibilitiesProduce large, complex multi-layer and multi-substrate PCB designs (team delivers circa 30 designs per year)Work from initial concepts and schematics through to manufacturing releaseCreate and maintain manufacturing data packsSupport design and peer reviewsCollaborate with mechanical, electronic and manufacturing teams to ensure DFM and DFT considerations are includedMaintain and manage component libraries, databases and toolsets (including symbol/part creation)Modify and maintain legacy designsSupport and mentor engineers and other designers, including training on constraints files and schematic/PCB toolsSkills and experience requiredExpert-level Cadence Allegro experience (schematic capture and PCB layout)Strong PCB layout experience for large, complex boards (up to 24 layers and 2000+ components)Experience designing for controlled impedance, high speed digital, RF, mixed signal, high current, ..... full job details .....
