My client is a well-established Retail company in Wakefield. Based in a friendly and supportive team you working on a high volume Payroll and supporting the team as a Team leader. Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract
Reporting directly to Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll and working with the HR and Payroll teams to ensure a seamless payroll function.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Running end to end payroll for a high volume payroll of over 10,000 as part of a team
- UK and Irish payroll
- Responsible for all aspects from start to finish
- Process starters and leavers
- Timesheets & absences
- Handle escalated queries - you will be the payroll specialist for the team
- Auto enrolment
Desirable skills and attributes:
- Previous payroll experience
- A keen eye for detail
- Accurate and up to date on legislation
- Strong initiative
- Enjoy working within a team but autonomy to work alone
- Experience processing multiple payrolls
- Excellent Excel
- Must have exceptional payroll knowledge answering queries
- Must have very strong Excel including VLookups and Pivot tables
