Hays are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded organisation in Leeds to recruit a CIPP-qualified Payroll Specialist on a 10-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to take ownership of a standalone payroll function within a supportive and flexible working environment.The RoleAs the dedicated Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional service delivery across the business.Key responsibilities include:Managing the monthly payroll process from start to finishEnsuring compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll regulationsProcessing pensions, statutory payments, deductions and benefitsManaging payroll reconciliations and reporting requirementsActing as the main point of contact for all payroll-related queriesMaintaining payroll records and ensuring data accuracyLiaising with internal stakeholders and external providersAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:CIPP qualification (essential)Proven experience running payroll independently from start to finishStrong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practiceExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsThe ability to work autonomously and manage a standalone functionStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat you''ll get in return 40,000 salary26 days annual leave plus bank holiday35-hour working weekHybrid ..... full job details .....
