Payroll specialist - 12 month FTC

Your new companyThis people-orientated organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a confident payroll professional who can process payroll end to end and quickly embed themselves into a fast-paced environment ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing.This position is a 12month FTC with some possibility of an extension or permanent contract at the end. You will have 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.Your new roleWithin your new role, you will be expected to administer payroll data and keep up to date with payroll queries.Process weekly, fortnightly, lunar and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to business deadlines.Handle statutory payments calculations/adjustments including SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.Complex paymentsBe a team player and work well collaboratively.Liaise with external clients to support with any payroll queries.Calculate and process adjustments, holiday pay, bonuses, overtime, and salary changes.Ensure correct treatment of starters, leavers, P45/P46 starter checklists, and RTI submissions.What you''ll need to succeedProven experience in a UK payroll positionStrong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirementsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work to tight deadlinesStrong communication and friendly phone mannerImmediate or short-notice availabilityHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment ..... full job details .....
