This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative & friendly Payroll team, managing your own portfolio of clients whilst playing a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting the continued development of the department, as well as supporting your Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring payrolls are completed accurately, compliantly and on time.
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries, building strong relationships with clients, HMRC and third-party providers.
- Support and review the work of junior Payroll team members, providing guidance, mentoring and day-to-day assistance.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with resolving complex payroll, legislation and system queries.
- Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment requirements and current payroll legislation.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and contribute towards continuous improvements across the Payroll team.
- Deliver training and share knowledge with colleagues to support their ongoing development.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll within an Accountancy Practice or Payroll Bureau environment.
- Experience managing multiple payrolls and a portfolio of clients.
- A good understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for delivering an outstanding payroll service.
