Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced team based in South Ayrshire. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will involve supporting the end-to-end payroll function for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume workforce, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Accurately calculate and process SSP, SMP, PAYE, and other statutory payments
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Support with payroll reporting and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and internal procedures
- Work collaboratively with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operation
- Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience
- Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, including SSP, SMP, PAYE and statutory calculations
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally supporting a workforce of 1,000 employees
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a busy and diverse team
- Confident working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Fully office-based role in South Ayrshire
- Immediate start preferred
