Payroll Officer

Transaction Recruitment are supporting a market-leading business based in Coalville, in their search for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their dynamic payroll function on a permanent basis. You''ll take ownership of weekly and monthly payrolls from start to finish for a workforce of 1,000+ employees, playing a key role in ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time. This opportunity offers hybrid working. Beyond the day-to-day processing, there''s a real opportunity to help shape how the payroll function operates the team is keen to hear from someone who can look at current processes with a fresh eye and identify where improvements could be made, including exploring how technology could streamline the way payroll works. Key Responsibilities: Processing weekly and monthly payrolls end-to-end for 1,000+ employees Calculating holiday pay and National Insurance Calculating SSP, SMP and SPP Carrying out manual payroll calculations Resolving payroll queries efficiently and professionally Keeping up to date with current payroll legislation Reviewing current payroll processes and identifying opportunities for improvement This is an opportunity to join a market-leading business offering genuine career progression prospects.
