About the Company Our client is a well-established and successful organisation with a significant presence across Northern Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team. This is a full-time, office-based position reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration and processing of payroll across the organisation. The Role As the successful Payroll Officer, your key responsibilities will include: Payroll Maintain and update accurate employee payroll records. Process new starters and leavers, including P45s, in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor and record employee clock-ins and review and correct any anomalies in conjunction with relevant managers. Process monthly payroll accurately and within the required deadlines. Update payroll for overtime, bonuses, pensions, health insurance and other ad-hoc payments. Calculate and process Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) and Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) in accordance with individual employee contracts, terms and conditions and relevant statutory requirements. Maintain accurate records of sickness and absence. Provide monthly sickness and absence reports to HR. Monitor and maintain employee holiday records. Resolve payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner. Work closely with HR and management to ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date. ..... full job details .....
