Payroll Manager
Robert Half are supporting a well-established organisation with the hire of an experienced Payroll Manager on a 6-month temporary basis.This is a hands-on role overseeing a large, high-volume payroll and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.Ownership of end-to-end payroll.Manage payroll deadlines, validations, and payroll runs (weekly / monthly as applicable)Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension auto-enrolment, statutory payments, and RTI submissionsOversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end processesAct as main point of contact for payroll queries across the businessLiaise with HR and Finance on starters, leavers, changes, and benefitsSupport and, where required, manage payroll colleagues or bureau relationshipsProven experience as a Payroll Manager in a medium to large organisationStrong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and best practiceConfident managing complex payrolls with large headcountsComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong Excel skills and experience with payroll systemsImmediate or short notice availability preferred6-month temporary assignmentCompetitive day/hourly rateOpportunity to step into a critical payroll leadership roleRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
