Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to hire an experienced and technically strong Payroll Manager to take full responsibility of their diverse payroll function.
The Payroll Manager will work in a standalone capacity, liaising closely with HR and reporting into the HR Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and manage payroll activities across the group
- Review, improve and implement all systems and procedures
- Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle within the payroll function including pension and benefits
- Manage relationships with third parties such as HMRC & software providers
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions of statutory returns to employees and HMRC
- Be responsible for sickness and absence records and the administration of company benefits including pension, car schemes, healthcare, bonus payments and loans
Experience required:
- Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
- Proficiency with Sage 50 payroll
- Extensive experience within an inhouse payroll function
- Confidence working within a sole capacity
This role offers 1 day per week working from home.
