This role is crucial in supporting the Payroll Directors and colleagues across all aspects of payroll operations, including service development and bid work. The successful candidate will ensure high-standard service delivery, meeting both regulatory and organisational needs, and maintaining compliance with HMRC and employment legislation.Day-to-day of the role:Hold senior level accountability for the management of the payroll service, including setting priorities, staff development, and performance reviews.Ensure the payroll services are customer-focused and responsive to customer needs.Analyse and provide details in support of performance indicators and targets as required.Develop, maintain, and enhance payroll processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.Act as a senior level point of escalation for investigating payroll discrepancies and staffing matters.Build strong relationships with clients, providing specialist advice on payroll-related matters.Interpret and implement updates to pay, including pay awards, circulars, and statutory and legislative changes.Support and develop policies and procedures to ..... full job details .....
