Payroll Assistant Paisley Fixed-Term Contract (9 months) - Maternity Cover Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pmWe are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Assistant to join an established accountancy practice in Paisley. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, with the potential to become a permanent position.As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both weekly and monthly payroll runs and providing administrative support to the payroll function and wider team. Key Responsibilities:Accurately process weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clientsMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with current legislationRespond to client queries in a timely and professional mannerSupport with general administrative tasks related to payroll processingLiaise with HMRC and other relevant bodies as requiredEnsure confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll-related matters Requirements:Previous experience in a payroll or finance admin role (within an accountancy practice is desirable but not essential)Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC reporting requirementsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent communication and organisational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAbility to manage workload and meet tight deadlines Additional Information:Based in Paisley - easily accessible via public transportFree on-street parking availableSupportive and friendly team ..... full job details .....
