Payroll Assistant

We are currently looking for an experienced Payroller to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong payroll experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running. You will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while supporting employees with any payroll-related queries. Key Responsibilites: Processing weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time. Managing starters, leavers and employee amendments. Processing PAYE, National Insurance and pension deductions. Handling payroll queries and resolving discrepancies. Completing payroll reconciliations and reports. Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Working closely with HR and the wider finance team. Ensuring payroll processes comply with relevant legislation. About You: Previous payroll experience is essential. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and pensions. Confident using Excel and payroll systems. Able to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Available to start at short notice.
