Payroll Assistant Locations: Axminster / Plymouth / Weston-super-Mare Hybrid Working: 3 days office / 2 days home Permanent Full-Time Salary: £27,000 - £30,000A well-established and highly respected South West accountancy practice is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join its growing payroll team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working with multiple clients, building strong relationships, and developing their payroll knowledge within a supportive and professional environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payrolls accurately and on time for a varied client portfolioInput, validate and maintain payroll data including starters, leavers, salary changes, pensions and deductionsCalculate payroll deductions, PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributionsInvestigate and resolve payroll queries and discrepanciesProduce payroll reports, payslips and HMRC payment informationEnsure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll regulationsManage employee payroll records and maintain accurate documentationSupport payroll billing processes alongside Partners and DirectorsDeliver excellent customer service to both clients and employees Ideal CandidateExperience within a payroll processing roleCIPP qualified or qualified by experienceStrong attention to detail and excellent numerical skillsExperience using payroll software (BrightPay, Sage, Xero or similar beneficial)Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office ..... full job details .....
