Payroll Assistant

We are looking for experienced and proactive Payroll Assistants to join our clients payroll team on a temporary basis, starting immediately. This is a busy, hands-on role for someone with a strong payroll background who can hit the ground running.Key Responsibilities:Processing payroll input and administration tasksSupporting payroll data entry and validation activitiesAssisting with employee payroll amendments, starters, leavers and contractual changesReviewing and investigating payroll exceptions and anomaliesSupporting pension administration and payroll-related deductionsValidating employee expenses and payroll adjustmentsResponding to routine payroll queries from employees and stakeholdersAssisting with payroll reconciliations and maintaining accurate payroll recordsSupporting statutory and compliance-related payroll activities where requiredWorking under the direction of the Payroll Manager and wider Payroll teamSkills and Experience Required:Strong, recent experience in a payroll role, with a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processingWorking knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, pensions and payroll deductionsExperience of handling starters, leavers, amendments and payroll exceptions accuratelyConfident using Microsoft Excel and payroll systemsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage a busy and varied workloadStrong communicator with a professional approach to handling confidential informationWell-organised, self-motivated, and able to work ..... full job details .....
