Payroll Assistant

PAYROLL ASSISTANT UXBRIDGE SALARY UP TO £35,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE Our client is a leading supplier of rail infrastructure including Civil Engineering, Communications, Permanent Way, alongside Civil Engineering and Building projects with the Rail sector. They now require a Payroll Assistant to join their team based in Uxbridge. Job Purpose: To ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies, and providing support for payroll-related queries and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Process end-to-end payroll for Fortnightly paid employees. Process Fortnightly labour subcontract and agency operatives. Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy in HR and payroll systems. Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (e.g., pensions, taxes, benefits). Ensure compliance with HMRC and other statutory requirements. Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and cost allocations. Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner. Support audits and provide documentation as required. Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a payroll administration role. Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
