Payroll and Finance Assistant

Description
The Payroll & Finance Assistant role will initially be full time office based in Preston with option for Hybrid working after probation. The role is an 18 month contract initially- reporting to the Financial Controller Key responsibilities will include:
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Ensure compliance with tax and pension regulations related to payroll.
- Accounts Payable
- Bank reconciliation
- Accounts Receivable
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance department.
Profile
In order to apply for the role you should:
Have previous experience in running monthly or weekly Payroll
Ideally have some Finance/Accounts experience
Be able to commute to Preston office
Be able to consider a temporary contract initially
