Payroll and Accounts Assistant
Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established, multi-site organisation in Poole to recruit an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC compliance, and statutory payments to join a stable and growing business. If you have proven experience running weekly and monthly payroll across salaried and hourly employees, I would like to hear from you. Payroll and Accounts Assistant - Key Responsibilities As Payroll and Accounts Assistant, you will take full ownership of the payroll function, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple sites along with processing employee expenses, resolving any related queries, posting journals for payroll and employee credit cards. • Manage end-to-end payroll for weekly and monthly payroll cycles • Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including overtime and variable pay • Administer new starters, leavers, salary changes, and payroll adjustments • Maintain accurate payroll records including tax codes, deductions, and pension contributions • Ensure full compliance with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements • Submit FPS and EPS reports and manage year-end processes including P60s and P45s • Process statutory payments including SSP and SMP • Prepare payroll journals and support finance with reconciliations and year-end reporting • Submit P11D and P11D(b) returns • Respond to employee ..... full job details .....
