Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established payroll services business in Hertfordshire that is looking to appoint a Payroll Administrator to join its growing team.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
Your responsibilities as a Payroll Administrator will include:

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately and efficiently
  • Calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions and statutory payments
  • Processing starters, leavers and employee changes
  • Ensuring payroll records are accurate and up to date
  • Preparing and submitting payroll information in line with deadlines
  • Responding to payroll queries from clients and employees
  • Supporting the administration of statutory payments and deductions
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations and general payroll administration
  • Keeping up to date with relevant payroll legislation and regulations
  • Building strong relationships with clients and providing a professional, responsive service
To be considered for the role of Payroll Administrator, you will ideally have:
  • Previous experience in a payroll administration role
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise your workload
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Experience using payroll software would be advantageous
