Payroll Administrator

Portfolio Payroll is recruiting on behalf of a fantastic accountancy practice for an experienced Payroll Bureau Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working across multiple clients and payrolls and is looking to develop their career within a busy payroll bureau environment.

The Role

You''ll support the wider payroll team with the accurate and timely processing of a variety of payrolls, including:

Weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls
Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses and deductions
Supporting RTI submissions and payroll reporting
Assisting with pension auto-enrolment and reconciliations
Producing payslips, reports and payroll summaries
Handling payroll queries from clients and employees
Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records
Supporting year-end processes, including P60s
Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and clients
Providing general support across the payroll bureau

About You

Numerically strong with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple payroll deadlines
Confident using Excel and payroll software
Experienced with systems such as Sage, Superpay or similar
Professional with excellent client/customer service skills
Organised, methodical and proactive
Keen to learn and build a long-term career in payroll
