Payments Business Analyst

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Payments Business Analyst with strong experience in a banking payments environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SEPA (SCT & Instant), BACS, FPS, CHAPS, SWIFT (MT/MX), ISO 20022, and cross-border payments, with proven experience in business analysis, payment transformation, and regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for payment solutions.
• Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments to support payment transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and external payment scheme stakeholders to deliver payment solutions.
• Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and support SIT/UAT activities.
• Support ISO 20022 migration, payment modernisation, and Agile project delivery.

Required Experience:

• Strong Business Analysis experience within Banking Payments.
• Hands-on knowledge of SEPA (SCT & Instant), BACS, FPS, CHAPS, SWIFT (MT/MX), ISO 20022, and cross-border payments.
• Experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process modelling, and payment lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and end-to-end project delivery.
