      <description>Location: Widnes | Salary: &amp;pound;15.31/hour | Type: Temporary | Halton Borough Council is hiring an experienced Pay Officer to support an important payroll transition project.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a busy and supportive team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the transition project and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll.   About the role   As a Pay Officer, you will support the payroll function during a period of transition, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be responsible for a range of payroll duties and will work closely with colleagues across the Council.
