2 x 1FTE (36 hours a week over 52 weeks a year) at Merton CollegePlease note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.Do you have a strong desire to see students succeed? If so, we want to hear from you!Merton College are seeking two Pastoral Tutors!This is an exciting new role aimed at improving the learner experience and improving the positive progression of all learners.As a Pastoral Tutor, you will track and monitor the progress of a specific amount of our Further Education learners. This will include conducting 1:1 meetings with learners, delivering College group tutorial programmes, liaising with members of staff and parents/guardians regarding learner progress and signposting learners to wider support as and when needed. You will also be a part of the College Safeguarding team which will include supporting a caseload of students.We''d like our Pastoral Tutors to have experience of delivering student workshops or tutorials to a diverse range of students and of supporting student progress on a 1:1 basis. We''d like you to have some experience of youth and community work and have a clear understanding of the needs of students and how these may be met.You''ll be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills.
