If so, we want to hear from you! Merton College are seeking for a Pastoral Tutor! This is an exciting new role aimed at improving the learner experience and improving the positive progression of all learners. As a Pastoral Tutor, you will track and monitor the progress of a specific amount of our Further Education learners. This will include conducting 1:1 meetings with learners, delivering College group tutorial programmes, liaising with members of staff and parents/guardians regarding learner progress and signposting learners to wider support as and when needed. You will also be a part of the College Safeguarding team which will include supporting a caseload of students. We’d like our Pastoral Tutors to have experience of delivering student workshops or tutorials to a diverse range of students and of supporting student progress on a 1:1 basis. We’d like you to have some experience of youth and community work and have a clear understanding of the needs of students and how these may be met.
