Pastoral Teaching AssistantProspero Teaching are looking for a passionate and resilient Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated Alternative Provision based in Wimborne, Dorset. This provision supports young people who may be disengaged from mainstream education and present with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and other additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping students re-engage with learning, build positive relationships, and achieve both academic and personal growth. As a Pastoral Teaching Assistant you will work closely with pupils both on-site and off-site, providing 1:1 and small group academic and pastoral support. Your focus will be on supporting pupils emotional wellbeing and fostering positive attitudes toward learning. The role includes: Supporting students within lessons and in alternative environments to develop positive behaviours and coping strategies.Planning and delivering bespoke interventions, both educational and therapeutic in nature. Working collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external agencies to implement tailored support plans. Accompanying and supervising students on off-site educational visits and outreach sessions.
