If you''re a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker passionate about providing crucial emotional and behavioural support to students with special educational needs in a nurturing mainstream environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.In this vital role, you''ll be instrumental in supporting students with SEN, helping them navigate emotional and behavioural challenges within a mainstream primary setting. You''ll work closely with students, families, and staff to create a supportive and understanding atmosphere. This is a term-time position, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of 14.25 - 15.25 per hour.The types of special educational needs you might be supporting can include: Autism (ASD), Asperger''s, Cerebral Palsy, behavioural challenges, and students working at below expected academic levels.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small group pastoral support.Implement effective behaviour management strategies and non physical de-escalation techniques.Offer support to students during challenging periods or transitions.Work in synergy with the SLT and SENCO to support the child in question.
