We are recruiting a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker / Pastoral Manager to join a caring, community-focused secondary school in Blackpool . In this vital role, you will be the go-to person for students (ages 11-16) facing social, emotional, behavioural, or attendance hurdles. Working alongside Heads of Year and the safeguarding team, you will help break down barriers to education, resolve conflicts, and create a calm, supportive environment where every young person feels valued and understood. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group pastoral interventions for students dealing with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, low confidence, or social difficulties. Act as a first responder for classroom disruptions, using restorative conversations and de-escalation strategies to help pupils regulate and re-engage with lessons.
