Salary: £110 to £140 per day

The school is looking to appoint a full-time, long-term Pastoral Support Assistant from September 2026. The successful Pastoral Support Assistant will work with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, providing one-to-one and small group pastoral support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, working closely with teaching staff, parents and external agencies to improve attendance, wellbeing and engagement with learning.

The successful Pastoral Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH and behavioural needs
• A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities
• Experience supporting behaviour management and restorative practice within a school environment
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with pupils, parents and professionals
• The ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable in a busy school environment
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
