Pastoral Mentor Birmingham 100- 115 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year) Long Term Futures is seeking a confident and proactive Pastoral Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with young people while playing a key role in maintaining high standards of behaviour across the school. Working closely with Heads of Year and the wider pastoral team, you will support pupils with behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing. The role requires someone who can build trust with students while remaining firm, professional, and consistent when dealing with challenging situations. About the Role Working as part of the school''s pastoral team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Supporting Heads of Year with the day-to-day pastoral needs of pupilsResponding to behaviour incidents and removing disruptive pupils from lessons when requiredBuilding strong, trusting relationships with students while maintaining clear professional boundariesSupporting pupils to reflect on their behaviour and make more positive choicesManaging challenging situations calmly and confidentlyRecording and reporting behaviour incidents accurately using the school''s systemsContacting parents and carers by telephone to discuss behaviour, attendance, or pastoral concernsCompleting administrative duties relating to behaviour, attendance, and pupil ..... full job details .....
