Pastoral Leader - Alternative Provision Tradewind St Albans, Hertfordshire 95- 120 per day ASAP Start Tradewind is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, HLTA or Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in St Albans, Hertfordshire.We are looking for a resilient, compassionate, and proactive Pastoral Leader with strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs.The successful candidate will work with KS3 and KS4 pupils aged 11-16 in a supportive alternative provision setting. Most pupils are working at a lower ability level, so this role may also suit an experienced primary Teaching Assistant or HLTA who has experience supporting pupils with additional needs, SEMH or challenging behaviour. The Role You will play an important role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, helping them to feel safe, settled and ready to learn.Responsibilities will include:Safely checking pupils into school and welcoming them at the start of the day.Supporting with breakfast and encouraging positive engagement.Helping pupils transition into lessons and encouraging them to attend, remain in class and participate in activities.Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and barriers to learning.Managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently, including using appropriate de-escalation strategies.Building positive relationships with pupils while maintaining clear and consistent ..... full job details .....
