Pastoral Lead / Head of Year - Secondary School - HaveringTradewind are recruiting!Are you an experienced Pastoral Lead, Head of Year or Behaviour/Pastoral professional looking for your next opportunity in a secondary school?Tradewind Recruitment is working with This Client, a secondary school in Havering, who are looking to appoint a committed and confident Pastoral Lead / Head of Year to join their team from October/November 2026.The RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and academic progress of students within an assigned year group.Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, safeguarding teams, parents and external agencies, you will help ensure students receive the pastoral support they need to engage positively with school life and achieve their potential.Key responsibilities will include:Taking responsibility for the pastoral care of a designated year groupMonitoring student behaviour, attendance, punctuality and wellbeingSupporting students with behavioural, social or emotional needsImplementing and monitoring behaviour and pastoral support plansLiaising with parents and carers regarding student progress and concernsWorking closely with teaching staff and senior leadershipSupporting safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns appropriatelyLeading year-group assemblies and contributing to the wider pastoral programmeSupporting students through challenging situations and helping them re-engage ..... full job details .....
