Choice Teachers are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bury to recruit two Pastoral Leads starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming school in a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates. The successful applicants will play a key role in supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance, working closely with the wider pastoral team.

• Pastoral Lead (x2 positions available)
• September 2026 start
• Full-time, 5 days per week
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Providing pastoral support to a designated year group
• Working closely alongside the Head of Year
• Supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance
• Liaising with parents, external agencies and school staff
• Assisting with wider pastoral duties across the school
• Supportive leadership and pastoral team

• Have previous experience working with young people
• Have experience within education, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support, pastoral support or a similar setting
• Be confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships
• Be able to work effectively with students, parents and external agencies
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Be committed to supporting students both academically and personally
• Previous Teaching Assistant experience would be advantageous
