Choice Teachers are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bury to recruit two Pastoral Leads starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming school in a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates. The successful applicants will play a key role in supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance, working closely with the wider pastoral team.

The Role- Pastoral Lead (x2 positions available)
- September 2026 start
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
- Providing pastoral support to a designated year group
- Working closely alongside the Head of Year
- Supporting student wellbeing, behaviour and attendance
- Liaising with parents, external agencies and school staff
- Assisting with wider pastoral duties across the school
- Supportive leadership and pastoral team
- Have previous experience working with young people
- Have experience within education, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support, pastoral support or a similar setting
- Be confident managing behaviour and building positive relationships
- Be able to work effectively with students, parents and external agencies
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Be committed to supporting students both academically and personally
- Previous Teaching Assistant experience would be advantageous
- Competitive rates of pay
