Pastoral Care Manager

The role is for a Pastoral Manager at Hartwell School, an independent specialist day school in Stockton-on-Tees serving pupils with SEMH and related conditions.Responsibilities

Lead the pastoral team to meet young people’s emotional needs, applying high standards of care.Work with families and develop individualized programs for each young person.Assess and plan to create a positive learning environment where every young person can thrive.Demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational skills, and effective team management.Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with ASC, ADHD or SEMH pupils and with families in challenging circumstances; ability to support and resolve difficulties.Experience of multi-agency work with understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation, policies and guidance.NVQ Level 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.Ideally, a Leadership-related qualification.Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).Experience of staff appraisal/performance management and supervision.What We Offer
