We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Assistant to join our committed team. This is a key support role, working closely with Year Leaders and teaching staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and fully engage with school life. Who are you£
- GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths (or equivalent) (essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, professional manner
- A team player with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Empathy and enthusiasm for working with young people, including those with additional needs
- Experience in a school setting, and/or knowledge of SEND and pastoral support (desirable)
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and child development
What are your responsibilities£
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and attendance
- Playing a proactive role in early intervention strategies and individual support plans
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to develop pupils'' independence, self-esteem, and learning behaviours
- Supporting school events, assemblies, enrichment, and pastoral programmes
- Assisting with behaviour logs, parent liaison, and safeguarding responses
- Promoting the schoolandrsquo;s inclusive ethos and high expectations
