We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pastoral Assistant to join our committed team. This is a key support role, working closely with Year Leaders and teaching staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and fully engage with school life. Youandrsquo;ll play a vital part in promoting wellbeing, supporting inclusion, and helping to develop confident, responsible young people. Who are you£


  • GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths (or equivalent) (essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, professional manner
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Empathy and enthusiasm for working with young people, including those with additional needs
  • Experience in a school setting, and/or knowledge of SEND and pastoral support (desirable)
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and child development


What are your responsibilities£


  • Supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and attendance
  • Playing a proactive role in early intervention strategies and individual support plans
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to develop pupils'' independence, self-esteem, and learning behaviours
  • Supporting school events, assemblies, enrichment, and pastoral programmes
  • Assisting with behaviour logs, parent liaison, and safeguarding responses
  • Promoting the schoolandrsquo;s inclusive ethos and high expectations
