Passive Fire Site Manager
Passive Fire Site Manager – Temp (Self-Employed)
Location: Worthing & Surrounding Areas (Mobile – Up to 8 Sites)
Day Rate: £240 – £260 Per Day + Mileage (CIS)
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and personable passive fire site manager to join a well-established fire protection contractor on an ongoing self-employed basis, starting 3rd August. The role is based across social housing sites in and around Worthing, overseeing a fire risk assessment remedial works programme focused on timber fire doors and penetration sealing.
This role is as much about people as it is about passive fire. You will be the face of the business on site — building strong relationships with clients, tenants and stakeholders daily. A positive attitude, professional manner and genuine people skills are just as important as technical knowledge in this position.
Candidates holding a FIRAS Supervisor accreditation are strongly encouraged to apply. If you do not currently hold FIRAS, the business will put the right candidate through the training — making this a great opportunity to gain a highly regarded accreditation whilst on contract.
The Role
As Passive Fire Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing day-to-day site operations across up to 8 social housing sites simultaneously in the Worthing area. You will travel between sites throughout the day with support from on-site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
A key part of this role involves attending and leading client meetings and carrying out tenant liaison across occupied social housing sites, so a confident, friendly and professional approach is essential. You will also be responsible for ordering and managing door stock, so strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of fire door specifications are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between sites throughout the day, supported by on-site teams
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong, professional client relationships throughout the contract
- Carry out tenant liaison across occupied social housing sites — a positive, people-focused approach is essential
- Order and manage fire door stock across multiple sites — strong knowledge of fire door specifications required
- Assist the Project Manager with programme delivery and project planning
- Carry out initial project briefs and produce short-term schedules of works
- Manage labour and subcontractors across multiple sites, organising workflow and delegating tasks effectively
- Identify material requirements and liaise with the office to ensure timely delivery
- Implement and maintain HSEQ systems across all sites
- Ensure all operatives have appropriate PPE and that signage is correctly displayed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within passive fire protection
- Strong technical knowledge of fire doors — essential, including the ability to order and manage door stock

- Experience working within occupied social housing environments — essential
- SMSTS — required
- CSCS Card — required
- First Aid — required

- Ongoing contract starting 3rd August
- On-site team support across multiple sites
- FIRAS Supervisor training provided if not already held
- Long-term pipeline of social housing passive fire works across the Worthing area
