Passive Fire Protection Engineer

What''s the role? Are you passionate about Fire Protection solutions and looking to take the next step in your career? As we look to expand the team we have multiple opportunities based from our Manchester office.
In this role you will be supporting internal and external customers with passive fire protection engineering judgements, queries, specifications, and drawings. This involves working on detailed technical designs for passive fire protection systems. What does the role involve?
Working on technical enquiries for internal and external stakeholders. This involves designing and specifying firestop products, creating engineering judgements and technical drawings and advising on installation and performance of passive fire protection systems.Creating bespoke and customer tailored packages to meet project requirements.Analysing technical specifications / drawings / plans to advise the most suitable product selection while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Collaborating with Fire Protection-related teams to address any technical queries and providing solutions / product specifications.Use internal reporting systems to archive queries, advice provided and ensure the thread of information.Working with and supporting the Fire Protection Team and related activities.Upkeep of CPD records, maintain competence on the latest Hilti Firestop products and ensure an up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring that across all tasks,that all appropriate quality and safety standards are followed.What you need is: Degree in engineering, preferably in Structural/Civil, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering fields.Demonstrable experience in Passive Fire Protection / Firestopping.Familiarity with construction techniques and site procedures, as well as building terminology. Specific knowledge of construction in the UK market is a big plus.Excellent technical writing skills.Proven ability to look at a technical and theoretical dataset and derive a practical solution. Ability to propose creative and innovative solutions while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and internal standards and upholding our safety standards.Very good AutoCAD knowledge.Strong ability to network and develop business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Capacity to communicate complex and technical information clearly, including to non-technical people and work effectively as part of a team.Excellent written and spoken English communication is essential Who should apply?
