37.5 hours a week: 08:00-16:00 (slight flex on start/finish) - you could work longer Mon-Thurs & less on a Fri
Up to £15.90 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £21.75 - depending on experience
We are looking for a Parts Change Coordinator to join our client’s Supply Chain Planning team in Desford; they are an industry leader, and world-renowned Fortune 100 brand who manufacture off highway machinery at their site in Desford. You’ll provide co-ordination and expertise in the areas of New Product Introduction & Current Product Change, coordinating part-introduction and part changes across both Desford & Stockton facilities to ensure the timely, most efficient, and cost-effective introduction of the change.
There is a lot of variety; you’ll be able to review processes and make improvement suggestions, bring in new ideas for running some meetings, and have the opportunity to work with many teams within the organisation.
What would the Parts Change Coordinator do?
- Maintain and communicate accurate change management data using Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS) and ERP system (Glovia)
- Interpret engineering releases and drawings to define change requirements, create item masters and product structures in MCS, and set up PFEP (Plan for Every Part) in Glovia
- Coordinate timely procurement, manufacturing, or rework of materials by managing effective dates in MCS/EMCC (Engineering Material Change Control) and maintaining direct communication
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and planning teams to implement changes efficiently and cost-effectively
- Track daily progress of materials and documentation to ensure parts availability is as required
- Lead/support weekly cross-functional meetings to update stakeholders on new and upcoming changes
What experience will the Parts Change Coordinator need?
Essential:
- Previous experience of working within a similar engineering parts coordination
- Meticulous accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work and communicate with other departments
- Analyse complex situations, make sound decisions + prioritise issues across the product/MRP lifecycle
- Solve problems and develop practical resolutions whilst considering other stakeholder perspectives
- Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): use bills of materials and other documentation to support production requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel for organising + analysing data, and be able to create weekly dashboards
- Confident and able to lead weekly meetings with a number of stakeholders
Desirable:
- Previous experience with the following software: SAP, MCS, Glovia, Teamcenter
- Background in manufacturing engineering would be advantageous
