Job Title: Parts Assistant
Location: Poole
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
- Monday-Thursday: 08:30-17:00
- Friday: 08:30-15:45
Salary: -26,000 - -27,400 per annum
We are working with a well-established company in the industrial/manufacturing sector to recruit a Parts Assistant to provide administrative support to their parts team. This is a key role ensuring the smooth operation of the after-sales service function and helping to maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process parts orders and customer enquiries using the company''s computer system.
- Provide general administrative support including typing, filing, and archiving.
- Answer customer telephone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with Accounts, Sales, Engineering, and Packing teams, as well as shipping agents, distributors, and customers, to ensure timely despatch of parts.
- Process Agent/Distributor commission notes.
- Maintain a tidy and efficient working environment.
- Undertake any additional duties as required to support the parts section.
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or parts-related role is desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computer systems to process orders.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- A proactive, flexible approach to work.
