OverviewPartnership Accountant role at
Clyde and Co . The role sits within the Group Partnership Accounting Team based in London. The Team plays a central role within Clyde and Co''s global finance function. Responsible for overseeing the accounting and reporting of partner remuneration, payments, capital contributions and other partner balances on a partner-by-partner basis for approximately 470 partners globally. The team is a point of contact for regional finance teams, as well as the partners themselves.

Responsibilities
Involvement in completion of month end partner-related processes and reviews
Review and reconciliation of partners’ current accounts, tax reserves and capital accounts ensuring that any discrepancies are highlighted and corrected in a timely manner; liaison with local finance teams to ensure day-to-day posting is accurate and timely
Summarising partner payment information to enable timely review and accurate cash flow projections
Preparation of journals required to partners'' current accounts, tax reserves, capital accounts and drawings accounts, including monthly accruals, year-end profit allocations and changes in capital
Maintenance of detailed partner profit sharing information for all partners throughout the year, including liaison with appropriate business services representatives to ensure information is accurate and fully up to date
Forecasting, calculation and payment of partners’ monthly drawings and distributions
Administration of partner capital, including liaison with banks providing partner capital loans
Assist in the preparation of annual partner statements (actual and budget), including reconciliation of partner balances between statements and the accounts system
Regular contact with partners, providing information and dealing sensitively and promptly with their queries
Develop collaborative and robust working relationships with stakeholders across the UK and overseas offices
Preparation of illustrative cash flow statements and performance of other administrative duties relating to lateral hire partners and retiring partners
Support the Head of Global Partnership Accounts, Global Partnership Accounts Manager and the other members of the team with ad-hoc analysis and project work
Critical review of processes and workflows, to identify limitations and opportunities; working on a continuous improvement basis to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and quality
Resolve audit queries in relation to partner matters

Essential Skills and Experience
AAT or a part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) is desirable
Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup/sumif; macros, Power Query and Power BI are an advantage
Strong level of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent analytical skills to assimilate large volumes of data and present information clearly
Highly organised and structured with strong time management and prioritisation skills
Relevant experience in Partnership Accounting would be beneficial but not essential; suitable for a strong management accountant with transferable skills
Experience in preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packs; experience in a multi-currency environment is advantageous
Knowledge of Elite 3E is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
Good team player: able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to forge strong working relationships with members of the finance team, partners and other senior stakeholders
