About the Role:
Our clinet are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Assistant to support their small but dynamic team during a busy period. This is a part-time, temporary role ideal for someone local to Wimbledon with strong finance experience and a proactive attitude.
You''ll be working closely with their Finance Lead (your only teammate in the finance function) to ensure smooth financial operations during a critical time of year, including three major exhibitions and year-end preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and email sales invoices to customers, ensuring correct internal and VAT coding
- Communicate with clients via email and phone regarding exhibition services (insurance, scanners, furniture) and outstanding payments
- Reconcile Xero Accounts Receivable with our Sales CRM
- Input supplier bills with accurate internal and VAT analysis
- Reconcile Xero Accounts Payable with fulfilment budgets (Excel-based)
- Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed and as time allows
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Local to Wimbledon or within easy commuting distance
- QBE (Qualified by Experience) or AAT qualified
- Committed to completing the full 15-week assignment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills across a small team (approx. 20 people)
- Confident using Xero and Excel
- Comfortable working independently and flexibly
Bonus:
There may be opportunities to support EOY25 and pre-2026 financial work starting in November, depending on performance and availability.
