Part-Time SEN Tutor

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced SEN Tutors to work with pupils across Lancashire, delivering 1:1 tuition in both Maths and English from KS1 through to KS4.Our tutors support vulnerable pupils who are currently out of school, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a creative approach to re-engage students with learning.Role Details:Location: Liverpool and Cheshire (community settings or pupil homes, with safeguarding measures in place)Hours: Approx. 10 - 20 per week (flexible between 9am - 4pm, term-time only)Pay: 25 - 30 per hour, depending on experienceContract: Ongoing, part-time, flexibleSubjects: Both Maths and English (tutors must be confident delivering both at an appropriate level)Start date: ASAPRequirements:Minimum 2 years experience working with pupils with SEN/SEMH in the UKExperience teaching/tutoring both Maths and English within the UK curriculumQTS desirable, though strong SEN/tuition backgrounds will also be consideredEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)Ability to travel locally across Liverpool and CheshireA patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching styleFurther Information:This role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils who need support the most.
