Location: Bishop's Stortford area (Own transport required due to out-of-town location)
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Time: 8:00am - 1:00pm (Flexible to fit around school hours)
Salary: £18,200 per annum (£14.00 per hour)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Processor & Administrator to join a leading design and manufacturer of metal cladding and facade systems for large construction projects in the UK.
This role is on a part-time basis and is ideal for someone with strong administrative capabilities and a good understanding of manufacturing work-flows. You will play a key role in supporting factory operations, particularly in processing orders using their specialised MRP-like system tailored for their industry.
Key Responsibilities
Production Processing:
- Accurately process curtain walling and facade system orders using LogiKal or similar software.
- Verify order details including specifications, pricing, and delivery information.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with logistics teams.
- Track shipments, manage returns, and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock concerns.
- Generate documentation such as packing slips and shipping labels.
- Perform end-of-day reconciliations and maintain high accuracy standards.
Production Administration:
- Register new jobs and generate job cards with technical drawings and production notes.
- Maintain production records including job cards, delivery notes, and tracking forms.
- Support the Factory Supervisor in scheduling and tracking production tasks.
- Manage incoming deliveries and verify against purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with reordering.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with Health & Safety record-keeping and Toolbox Talks.
- Act as a communication bridge between office, estimators, and factory teams.
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, and scanning.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Competence: Experience with fenestration software a plus.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication across teams and suppliers.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in order processing and documentation.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structured work-flows.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Time Management: Reliable and punctual with strong task prioritisation.
- Health & Safety Awareness: Basic understanding of H&S principles and compliance support.
- IT Proficiency: Confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adaptable to new systems.
Requirements:
- Transport: Must have own transport to commute to out of town location.
- Experience: Proven administrative experience; familiarity with a factory/workshop environment.
- Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Software Literacy: Ability to process orders using bespoke software systems.
- Education: Any technical qualifications are a plus.
- Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills across departments.
