You will provide our client''s support and health and social care. This is also a flat mate" type of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you''d expect, like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday and much more!

Start Date: ASAP

24 hours per week - Thursday 8am till Friday 8am

Day shifts and Sleeping Night shifts

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Location: Truro

Care experience is not required as full training in our client''s particular requirements will be provided.

You must hold a full clean UK driving licence as you will be driving our client''s adapted car.

5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.

About Our Client

Our client is 25 Year Old Woman. She has a diagnosis of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Her many hobbies tie in with health lifestyles and wellbeing. The client leads a very active social life by meeting up with friends and family.

With a joyful and delightful persona, as well as a good sense of humour, our client enjoys going out to social events, such as pubs and having friends to her house.

As Written By Our Client

My diagnosis is Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 2, which is a genetic condition. This means I have weak muscles throughout my body and I am a full time powered wheelchair user

My hobbies include socialising with friends and meeting new people. I go to social events, such as gigs, pubs and friends coming over to my house. This is an important part of my life and carers need to enjoy accompanying me on this and being involved and included as part of my friendship group. I have a bubbly, fun and relaxed personality and I hope to build a friendship with my carers who have similar personalities. I like my personal care to be completed discretely and carers to take initiative with the support they provide so that I dont have to go through things all of the time. This is important so that I can continue my day-to-day routine without being made a fuss of or allowing my disability to prevent me from being involved in things.

I have 2 small dogs called Winnie and Fig. Part of my daily routine is walking them, which I need help with

About You

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client''s care therefore full training in her particular needs is provided.

You Will Need

To be physically fit, calm, patient and caringGood organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiativeTo have a good sense of humourA mature and responsible attitudeGood communication skillsTo be fluent in English.To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.To be a non-smokerA full clean UK driving licence -youneed to be a confident driver.Be flexible to cover shifts for sickness and annual leave
