Financial Controller (Part-Time)Location: Hinckley, UK (primarily on-site with some flexibility) Hours: 25 hours per week (0.6 FTE)A growing engineering and technology SME is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead finance operations and support business growth. This is a broad role suited to someone comfortable working in a fast-paced small business environment with responsibility across financial control, forecasting, reporting, and commercial support.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership of day-to-day finance operations and controlsMonthly management accounts, cash reporting, and forecastingBudgeting, financial modelling, and KPI reportingOversight of payroll, payables, and working capitalSupport for pricing, contracts, and commercial decision-makingLiaison with external accountants, auditors, and advisersSupport fundraising, governance, and investor reporting activitiesRequirementsExperience in an SME or owner-managed businessStrong cash flow forecasting and financial modelling skillsHands-on approach with the ability to work independentlyKnowledge of Xero or similar accounting systemsAbility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)DesirableACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifiedExperience in engineering, technology, or project-based businessesExposure to fundraising, board reporting, or share schemesThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in its next stage of development.
