Part Time Finance Manager (and;50,000 FTE)

A large and well-established public sector organisation is partnering with Robertson Bell to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a significant finance function, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate financial planning, reporting and advice. This is a varied role covering budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, month end, financial controls and team management. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both strategically and in the detail, with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and provide practical financial advice. The role Lead the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting processes, working closely with senior operational stakeholders. Produce accurate monthly management accounts, highlighting variances, risks and opportunities. Lead month end processes, including control accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other key accounting processes. Monitor performance against budget and provide recommendations to address financial risks and variances. Provide financial advice to budget holders and senior leaders, helping inform operational and strategic decisions. Oversee day-to-day finance processes, ensuring transactions are accurate, timely and compliant with financial regulations.
