      <description>Location: Chichester | Salary: 28000.00-28000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Our client, an established, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a part-time Bookkeeping Assistant for their Chichester office, West Sussex. The role will be 22.5 hours a week, to be worked over 3-5 days and will involve supporting the bookkeeping team with processing client records using accounting software and general administrative duties.Key duties include:-Process high volumes of client documentation accurately and efficiently into accounting systems (primarily Sage)Match, batch and code client documentationEnsure correct VAT treatment is applied at all timesProcess client expenses as requiredInput and reconcile bank transactions in line with team requirementsAssist with general bookkeeping tasks as directed by the Bookkeeping ManagerSupport the team to meet client deadlines and service standardsUndertake other duties as reasonably required in line with the roleYou will ideally have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles in practice or a willingness to learn and progress in a practice environment.
