This Part-time Administrator role in Newton Abbot offers 20 hours weekly, working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am until 1:00pm, through to December 2026. I have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join a well-known contractor on a large and busy site on the outskirts of Newton Abbot.
This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days will be quite the same! You’ll play an important part in keeping the site running smoothly, with a particular focus on supporting the internal security administration.

Previous administrative experience is required, although full training will be provided on the site-specific systems and processes.
Your duties will include:
- Supporting the team with day-to-day administration and internal security processes
- Arranging vehicle bookings and liaising with the prison where required
- Checking and monitoring clearances for new starters
- Maintaining accurate records, correspondence and documentation in line with audit requirements
- Assisting with payroll, purchasing, invoicing and payments where required
- Monitoring enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with within agreed timescales
- Supporting with travel, accommodation and event arrangements
- Providing general administrative and project support to the wider team
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous administrative experience, within Construction would be beneficial
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A professional and efficient approach to work
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A helpful, enthusiastic and flexible attitude
Please note: you will need to be happy with a Basic DBS and BPSS clearance taken or hold one due to the nature and location of the role.
