Part Time Accountant

Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a part-time role within practice?- We are seeking a Part Time Accountant to work for a friendly, accountancy practice based in Wokingham.- The ideal candidate with be qualified ACCA/ACA with extensive accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.

This is essentially a Client Manager role, and the firm is looking for someone to commit to around 15 - 20 hours per week with hybrid working offered after the probation period.-

This role offers a good rate of pay, and flexibility where you can expand your experience and thrive.- Hours can be flexible to suit, although it is preferred to be predominantly within normal working hours.

As Part Time Accountant within this well-established practice, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of 40-50 clients comprising small business and sole traders
• Provide ongoing support and advice to clients and advising as appropriate
• Statutory accounts preparation and review
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Ad hoc duties to support the smooth running of the team

To be considered for this Part Time Accountant position, you will satisfy the following:

• Be ACA or ACCA qualified, although, an exceptional part qualified or qualified by experience accountant may be considered
• Have significant accounts and tax experience within a UK accountancy firm
• Experience of independently managing a portfolio of clients
• Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be flexible in your approach, self-motivated and diligent
• Experience of a range of accountancy packages such as Sage, Xero, IRIS, CCH, TaxCalc, FreeAgent and Excel would be beneficial
• Whilst this role will offer an element of hybrid working after probation, applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Wokingham
