Fletcher George is working with an established independent accountancy practice in Woking, recruiting a Part Qualified Accountant to join its growing Accounts and Business Services team.

This opportunity will appeal to an active studier who wants more than a routine accounts preparation role. You will gain direct client contact from the outset, work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and develop the technical and commercial skills needed to become a confident, well-rounded accountant.

The Role

Working with an interesting portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105

• Preparing management accounts and VAT returns

• Assisting with corporation tax computations

• Managing day-to-day client communication and accounting queries

• Working alongside experienced colleagues on more involved assignments

• Developing greater responsibility for client work as your experience grows

About You

• ACA or ACCA part qualified and committed to completing your professional qualification

• Experience gained within a UK accountancy practice

• Good experience preparing statutory accounts

• Exposure to management accounts, VAT and cloud-based accounting software

• Comfortable communicating directly with clients

• Keen to develop your technical knowledge and take on greater responsibility
